Whittling the Wood
Work on the upper section of sideboard continues at a slow but comfortable pace. The well tuned 14" RA always enjoys slicing it up for me; that's a single pass through 12/4 Black Walnut, clean as a whistle.
Router and template guide jig cuts a nice tapered sliding dovetail for the cabinet partitions.
The sliding doors are in Black Walnut and book-matched Arbutus to match the sliding pantry door. I will still need to make two more doors for the lower section of the sideboard, and should juuust squeeze it out of the small Arbutus plank off-cut from the panty door. Intended doing a more ergonomic and pretty mortised in pull, but I'll leave that for next time, let's see how basic we can keep things for now.
The Beach
It's been a long time since my last chainsaw therapy session with Dan. It felt good to be back in the saddle. Dan set up a couple small but tasty Cherry logs to chew on.
