Business Time

After playing with the bent lamination, it was time to get down to business.

A little zero clearance sled on the sliding table to cut the half laps for the lamp base, a case of sticking some mdf to the fence with double stick tape. Not sure I'd get anything done around the shop without double stick tape. Here's where you get it:

After roughing out, the handy router plane steps in to fine tune the depth of the half laps.

Some creative routing, like riding a roller coaster.

Shop made dowelling jig to help position parts.

Free-handing the doweling on the mortiser.

Joinery into the base.

Fine tuning a rather awkward stick.
